The Albatross name quickly became an established and respected brand in the industry and Roger’s judicious reinvestment into the business enable him to expand his fleet of vehicles and to employ more staff.

He further broadened the base of the business with gangway security and other marine security related services.

However, the success of these services did not blunt his enthusiasm for new ventures and when he identified an opportunity to expand into offshore supply and crew boats, he recognised it as a means of offering a ‘one stop shop’ comprising Transport, Offshore Launch, Airport Meet and Greet and Security services under the Albatross banner.

The inclusion of a partner, Paul Webb, provided additional maritime industry experience that could be brought to bear on dedicated service delivery and enabled expansion of services to Port Elizabeth, Saldanha Bay and East London.

As demand for Offshore Launch Services increased, the partners continued to reinvest in the business, proving to be a dynamic team. They acquired more boats, each tailored to specific types of service and tonnage supply. With a growing fleet and a dedicated team of staff members, the business has become a prominent and trusted feature in the local marine industry.

Over the years, Roger’s hard work, drive and dedication have resulted in the realisation of his dreams.

What started in 1998 with just one minivan has blossomed into a thriving enterprise with many vehicles and vessels.
