Albatross Marine Services

Great news – Oyama Theta was not only selected for the Junior Touch Rugby Nationals with the WCTA, but he also took the field in October. He played an integral part in the team’s defence, bringing his trademark “hvocal” energy and helping the squad stay cohesive throughout the tournament.

Albatross Cares is incredibly proud of Oyama’s commitment and the progress he’s made in 2025, and we look forward to watching him keep developing into an elite sportsman. Well done, Oyama!

A Letter From Coach Uzair:

“Good day all

This message is sent as an overview of Oyama Thetha’s experience and interaction at Junior Touch rugby Nationals for WCTA in October this year.

Oyama started off his journey, shy and in his shell, introverted to put it bluntly , as days progressed on tour he began to interact and socialise well with his teammates, participating well in team challenges and providing a positive impact in off-field social activities.

Oyama played an integral part in team coherence with his vocals on defence.

His work rate improved substantially and was a force on defence , making important game changing touches , helping the team in toughly contested games.

Oyama too got on the scoresheet a few occasions, proving his attacking prowess and ability to push the team to get positive results.

Overall Oyama had a fantastic tournament that saw him and his teammate’s head home with a medal.

I’m extremely proud of Oyama , I hope he has gained a good experience and even better friends from this tournament.

It was a pleasure to coach this respectful and disciplined young man , I hope to coach him in the future again.

Thank you

Regards , Coach Uzair.”
